Tower Offense
This game was made for the GMTK 2023 Game Jam with the theme of: Roles Reversed.
Due to appointments, I could only work on it for ~29 hours, so the game is not balanced at all.
Tower Offense is a reverse form of a Tower Defense game in which you send the units and the computer build Towers to try and stop you.
Units
- Soldier | Advanced Soldier
- A basic unit, which can be upgraded to increase their numbers.
- Robot | Advanced Robot
- Starts off as a basic unit, can be upgraded multiple times to increase its survivability.
- Plane | Advanced Plane
- A quick unit, which does a lot of damage if it reaches the end
Upgrades
- Add Soldiers
[Repeatable]
- Increases the number of (Advanced) Soldiers added to the wave when bought by 1.
- Robot Slow Area
- Robots slow Towers' Attack Speed in an area around them.
- Advanced Upgrade: Area and Slow increased.
- Robot Shield
- Robots gain a Shield for a short time the first time they take damage.
- A Shield blocks all incoming damage.
- Advanced Upgrade: Shield duration increased.
- Robot Taunt
- Robots taunt Towers when entering their attack range, forcing them to attack the Robots.
- Plane Damage [Repeatable]
- Increases (Advanced) Planes' damage they do when they reach the end by 1.
- Unlock Advanced [Soldier/Robot/Plane]
- Unlocks the advanced versions of the respective units.
- Interest Up [Repeatable]
- Increases your end-of-wave Interest by 1.
- Armor Up [Repeatable]
- Increases the Health of all Units by 1.
