This game was made for the UDC Jam #26 with a theme of 'On/Off'.

The goal of the game is to guide Trains to their respective finishes. You also need to pick up and deliver Passengers to their respective stations.

The Passengers are also how the Theme of the Jam is implemented, as they hop On and Off the trains.

Note - The WebGL build can be buggy, the Windows Build is a lot more stable.

Controls

  • Mouse - The game is mostly mouse-driven and a keyboard is not necessary.
    • Lay down Tracks - You can lay down Tracks with the left mouse button.
    • Remove Tracks - You can remove Tracks with the right mouse button.
  • WASD - Used to pan the camera while in levels.
  • Q/E - Rotate the camera

Gameplay
A train has a certain colour. It's your goal to guide the train to a finish of the same colour.  Some levels also have Passengers. They also need to be picked up and delivered to Stations of their corresponding colour.

You do this by placing down Tracks. This is done by click-and-dragging. To create T- or X-Junctions, click-and-drag over an already existing Track.

T-Juctions have extended functionality:

  • When clicked, they change their direction.
  • When a Train passes over a T-Junction, the junction will switch its direction as well.
  • This can be turned off, however. When you hold left click on a junction, it will lock, keeping its direction.
  • In order to unlock a junction, hold left click on it again.

Level Editor

This game also comes with a Level Editor. Since this is a jam game, it was made quick and dirty. Expect some bugs, but it should be functional (at least in the Windows Version).

  • You can edit the level size by editing the corresponding fields.
  • The toolbar holds the 4 objects:
    • Train Start
    • Train End
    • Passenger Start
    • Passenger End
  • Placing is done with the mouse, rotation is done using Q and E.
  • Once placed, the colour can be changed by using Left and Right Click.
  • The Car colours of a Train can be changed by clicking the indicators on top of a Train's spawn.
  • A see-through indicator means that there's not a car in that slot.
